Our Day with Misty

Follansbee, West Virginia
Meadowbrook RV Park
Site #2

Today was a day we had nothing planned to do.  We thought about going golfing or washing the trailer.  Washing the trailer won out.

Bill and I always have a large breakfast and it takes us a while to get going after that.  Around 10 we were just getting ready to go outside and wash the trailer when we had a knock at the door.

It was Misty, Bill's youngest daughter.  She is great at drawing and the other night I asked her if she could draw a greyhound for us.  She brought it over and it was perfect.  We will use it at the Amado, AZ Rally in October.  Escapees Chapter 45 will be hosting it and they are still taking reservations if anyone is interested.  Guaranteed to be a lot of fun.  I understand there are only three couples registered.

Bill and I enjoyed visiting with Misty and she wanted to take us to lunch, but Bill was still full from breakfast.  We chatted for a long time and finally Misty said "well let me take you to dinner."  We went downtown to Vito's and what a nice place it was.  It was quiet which is important to Bill with his hearing disability.

And we still didn't run out of things to talk about.

The food was delicious and the service was perfect.  Sharon, I finally had a very rare steak.  Cooked to perfection.  It's hard to order one very rare and get it that way.
Bill ordered the gravy fries with hot roast beef.  I'm sure his cardiologist has this on his approved healthy diet.  Bill said he diluted it with a glass of water so it was okay.

Levani had a baseball game at 7 pm but when we left the restaurant it was raining so we decided not to attend tonight.

The trailer is still dirty, but we wouldn't trade the day for a clean rig.

  2. Spending the day visiting with family or friends is so much better than washing the rig. However, I know what a fanatic you're married to. Those gravy fries look fantastic. We ate at the Cowpoke in Lovelock last night and they had fresh homemade fries that were soooo good. But no gravy.

  3. That meal sure doesn't look like it would be on the good to eat list for any cardiologist. It probably was a good thing it was diluted with water. Perhaps, that helped but more than likely -- not much.
