Escapade Essex Junction

Essex Junction, Vermont
Champlain Valley Exposition

Yesterday we arrived at the Champlain Valley Exposition a little after 9 am.  While we were waiting for someone to come and show us where to park, Marilyn and Larry Forbes came over to greet us.  Haven't seen them for awhile.  It's so nice to get our hugs before we've even parked.

We're backed up to the horse barn.  Do you think they are trying to tell staff members anything?

We were very disappointed to learn that Leslie and WC Ernst weren't able to be here.  We're lucky that we have Floyd and Donna Fitzgerald to help us.

They pitched right in and in no time our booth was ready.

Yesterday we had a staff meeting and helped pack all the welcome bags for the attendees.  That's a lot of bags.  I helped served the pizza and cake.  There was a large variety to pick from.

This morning we started over to the building and Bobby pulled up in a car with the back end full of donuts and as Bobby put it "good" coffee.  He had Dunkin Donuts coffee.

We finished the booth about lunch time and went back to the coach.  I walked around to see if I could find Mills, Fogler's and Sweetman's.  They aren't far away from us.

Vern stopped by and we visited for a little bit, as we had another staff meeting at 3.

There was a door prizes drawing but we didn't win anything.  We're waiting for the grand prize like Sharon Del Rosario won last year.

There was a Happy Hour with appetizers and wine followed by a catered dinner.
Aren't these the cleverest centerpieces?  I was told that Dortha Hall made these lighthouses out of flowerpots.

Now the Escapade is complete with "Miss Kay" here.  Her membership number is one.

The room was very noisy with all the talking going on.

Notice the sling Carol is wearing.  She said she hit Dennis too many times.

Sky surely has a devilish grin.

Bill asked me afterwards how many more of these big meals were we having.

If you don't come to them, Paul Evert's guys bring the bar to your site.

Talk about service.  Do you think they'd take good care of their customers?

Busy, busy day.  Tomorrow is early arrivals and the Escapade officially starts on Sunday.

Turtle Safely........
