It's Over

Amado, Arizona
De Anza RV Resort

Every good thing has to come to an end.  Today everyone joined their fellow Escapees for the last food event.  The rally room was set up with coffee and a great selection of donuts.

People set around making plans when they would meet up again.  Bruce and Bunny have the loose gathering at Quartzite and I know they will have a large group for some of Bruce's famous soup.

The Escapees have a Happy Hour planned in January at Quartzite.  We'll be at the Montana Circling of the Wagons and will be within walking distance of the Happy Hour.

We pulled out around 9 am this morning, but not before we could have had a disaster.  Usually I always close the awning around dark.  No need for it to be out at night and after spending so much time back East learned the awning was dryer if it was closed.  Did you notice I used the word, usually?  Well last night by the time we came home, I forgot.  Could it have been because we were talking with friends right up until we opened the door?

As we were packing up I put the chairs in the passenger side basement.  I was thinking I was glad I was in the shade because it was already hot.

I put the slide out rooms in and talked with Betty a little bit.  Bill was getting into the truck to hitch up when I realized that the awning was still out.  Now don't laugh, but Bill and I actually saw a motorhome leaving the Pima County Fairgrounds with his awning out including the awnings over the driver side windows, so it does happen.  I don't think the driver used his mirrors for anything other than hanging stuffed animals on them.

Traffic wasn't bad and we were back at Sundance RV Resort before noon.

Now it's time to start dieting after all that food.  The repairman should be here tomorrow and then I should have a working refrigerator.
