Cinco de Mayo in Idaho

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Elks Lodge

It rained pretty hard during the night but the sun came out this morning before left Electric City.  The roads were wet the first 20 miles but we managed to escape the rain.

Of course, it was Bill's day to drive.  The drive was less than 150 miles.

There are three other coaches in the RV park.  Curtis and Stephanie invited to us to stay at their place on their lot, but we decided to stay close to the interstate and not inconvenience them.  We'll see them tomorrow.

Last night we were talking with Harry and Carlena and they are getting anxious.  We told them we plan to stop at Jim and Mary's when we leave here and that we'd be in Butte on the 9th and 10th.  They are in Pocatello so not that far away.

We did a little shopping after we were set up.  I've been trying to find flannel shirts.  Ended up getting some real bargains in the men's department.  Now I'll just have to figure out how to button them from the other side.

The Elk's Lodge had a Cinco de Mayo party tonight.  About an hour before it was time to walk over, the rain really came down.  Just about the time I dug an umbrella out, it stopped.  Now that's good timing.

The Elk's had a wonderful meal.  It was a fun night and their members were so friendly.  Sorry I didn't bring the camera or my phone with me.  While we were in line for our food, the couple next door to us was talking about their Alaska trip.  Another couple came over to tell us they were  headed to Alaska on the 12th.  This will be their first trip.

  3. I guess we were just lucky. We wore shorts most of our Alaska trip and rarely had rain. I'm hoping you won't need those flannel shirts much!!
