Waiting for Wednesday to Arrive

Goshen, Indiana
Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds

We had an early start to the day today.  Mike with Keystone Service called to ask if they could come over.  A minute or two later they arrived at the door.  I showed them where the wiper rubber was bad, and the next thing I knew they had the ladders out and replaced the rubber.  They also replaced the lock on the door.

Bill took off our orange lei while the ladders were out.  It's official, we finished our Loosey Goosey trip.

Linda and Dennis arrived and are parked near us.  It's always nice to see them.

The service team was finished about noon, so I called Harry and Carlena to see if they wanted to go to the Railway Museum.  Carlena and I both agreed we should start with lunch at the Lux.  I had a bowl of soup, a fish sandwich and cottage cheese as my side, while Bill ordered biscuit and gravy with an egg and hash browns.  Mine was $6.99 and Bill's was $4.99.  The girl brought our check and said she saw our name badge and took $2.00 off the bill.  She also gave the discount to Harry and Carlena because they were with us.

It seemed strange that we were having trouble finding the gate to the railroad museum.
You guessed it!  It's Monday and they are closed.

Since the RV Surplus wasn't far away, we stopped in there. As we were about ready to leave, George and Rosetta walked in.

When we returned to the fairgrounds, we saw the washing crew finishing up on our rig.

They did a great job and we didn't realize how dirty it was.  The Alaska adventure dirt is now gone.

We all sat around and enjoyed talking.  It's nice to meet some new owners.  George Morey said they have 47 coaches in already.

  2. You need to rest up. Wednesday is just around the corner and you'll be pretty busy once that day arrives.
