I Won, I Won, But What Did I Win?

Casa Grande, Arizona
Leisure Valley

I received a phone call from Mikael of True Power Tools yesterday saying I won the door prize that I registered for at the Big Tent in Quartzsite.  Now anyone that's been to the big tent knows everyone wants you to sign up to win something.  Matter of fact, now that I think about it, Bill won a belt buckle one year.

For the life of me I couldn't remember what True Power Tools was until Mikael asked me if I wanted white or black in my light pole.  He said I won a patio set and would be Fed-Xing it out.  I received a follow up email from him with the tracking number of the four boxes.  The shipment is to arrive tomorrow.

We also had a great visit from Ron and Jim yesterday who rode up from Benson.  Mary was back in Omaha and Bev had a doctor's appointment so I got to watch three guys enjoy themselves talking guy talk.  Bill was in his glory since he found out Jim and him had the same interests.

We went to the Hong Kong kitchen for lunch and every one said they enjoyed their meal.  Ron was the only one who didn't finish his meal.

Ron and Mary are coming back up to stay a couple of days before Winter Blast.  I tried very hard to convince Jim to go since I know there is someone who cancelled and there will be an extra site.  I think he and Bev would enjoy it if they attended.

Susie and Bud are back in town and we have plans to go to breakfast in the morning.  It's really difficult to try and lose weight when we are going out so much.

I did learn a trick about food management at the Circling of the Wagons.  I took snacks at the first happy hour.  I was ashamed that I have no control and tried some of everything that was on the table.  The following night I didn't bring anything, but I also didn't have anything to sample.  If you notice I don't bring anything for happy hour there is a reason. If I don't bring anything, I won't be eating anything. I need to lose 5 pounds before our grand daughter's wedding.

Those of you who have followed this blog for a while will remember Roger and Sharon Hime and their dog Hickory.  Hickory had her on blog.  Hickory recently passed away at the age of 14.  She will be missed.
