Relaxing Day in Fort Nelson

Fort Nelson, British Columbia
Triple G Hideaway RV Park

Bill was out early today cleaning the truck.  I planned on doing the laundry so I waited for his cleaning towels.

Carlena and I went to the laundry at the RV park.  There were many machines.  I think there were at least 8 dryers and washers.  We are doing so much better with the loonies and toonies.

I ended up cleaning cupboards looking for a bag of bacon bits.  Finally, the cupboard I looked in last night and couldn't find the bacon bits, turned out to be the hiding place.

We walked across the street from the museum, to check out the Information Center.

There's a huge parking lot with RV parking.

At first I thought this was the Visitor Center.

Then I realized this huge building was the Visitor Center.

They had some very nice souvenirs and local made products.

They had these Native American costumes for sale. One small one was priced at $40.

Harry tried to explain how this "RV" could travel anywhere.

There was some outside signage about the area.

I was really impressed how nicely this center was.

Can you tell all the Canadians who enjoyed the holiday weekend and now have to use the free dumps?

After our walk we sat outside and tried to solve some of the world problems before we went to dinner at the RV park restaurant.

As we were eating dinner, we watched as RV after RV entered the park.  There was just a handful of rigs here today but when we walked back there were many.

  2. Glad you are enjoying the Canadian Wilderness.
Simple way of knowing the difference between a Loonie and Toonie is Toonies represent Two Dollar Coins and also have two different materials in its make up. A Loonie has a single material make up and represents a One Dollar Coin.
Be Safe and Enjoy your trip.

    It's about time.
