The Roads to Fort Macleod

Fort Macleod, Alberta
Daisy Mae RV Park

I have so much to say about today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.  It's been a long busy day and I'll try and catch everyone up on the news about where we've been before I write about our last day in Canada.

I know a lot of people keep asking us about the fires.  These photos of the only vehicles going south were taken at highway 97 in Prince George.  We overnighted in Prince George.

The next morning we continued East on the Yellowhead Highway.

These photos don't show the smoke well.
The smoke was bad all across the Yellowhead Highway and Jasper.  We overnighted at Jasper Gates in Hinton and sat outside, when we came inside my clothes smelled like we'd sat around a campfire.

For dinner we walked next door to brewery but none of us were impressed with our food or beer.

The following day we drove to Rocky Mountain House.  Our original plan was to drive in the direction of Edmonton, but the fires have all of us, ready to leave Canada the fastest way possible.
This restaurant in Rocky Mountain House was so good, we went two days in a row.

Today we headed south on highway 22 to Fort Macleod.  It's a long story, and I'll finish the story tomorrow when I can download photos.

  1. We have been watching the wildfire for weeks in that area, no fun too be in that area at all. Travel safe.

  2. Sorry that Nature is chasing you away with those fires. You'll just have to try again.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
