Huntsville Alabama US Space & Rocket Center

Huntsville, Alabama
US Space & Rocket Center Campground
Back In #4

We had a leisure drive from Fort Payne travelling over US 35 to US 72.  I called this morning to reserve a site and they had one left.  I wanted to order a new power cord for my computer, and needed to make sure of the address before I ordered it.

The weather forecast predicted heavy rains but we had sunshine the whole day.
The roads were great and the scenery even better.
Bill and I were amazed at the size of the Tennessee River.

Sorry about the reflections from the windows.
We are in the US Space and Rocket Campground.  We can't get a satellite signal but there are plenty of local channels.  Our three day total camping rate for full hook ups (30amp), and wifi is $54.  You can't beat the location.
This is the view out the rear of our site.
And this trail takes you to tomorrow's adventure.
For our nightly walk, we checked out the path.  And what you ask is tomorrow's adventure?
It took us to this chain link fence which was closed because it was after 5 pm.
The campground host told us we'd need a full day to tour the US Space and Rocket Center so we're resting up tonight.
The campground is that green area on the left about midway on the page.

We went to Costco to get paper plates and came home with a few more items.  You can't beat their roasted chickens for $4.99.  We'll get two meals out of it.

Stayed tuned for tomorrow, it promises to be another great adventure.
