A Good Day for Bill

Today was a great day.  We just relaxed and didn't do a whole lot of anything.  It was cool but another beautiful day.  Great day for lounging in your sweats, if you happened to pack them. 

And why is Bill so happy....?

Bill and I decided to try the satellite again.  We took the cover off of it, and managed to get it working.  Now how are we going to get the dents out of that plastic cover so it can seek a satellite without getting jammed?  

Between the two of us we repaired it.  It took a round bowl and a hair dryer.  Bill heated the plastic while I took a round bowl on the inside and tried to get it back into shape.  Once that was done, it was scary trying to put the lid back on without moving it so we wouldn't lose the signal.  

The reason Bill is so happy is because the western channel is running 60 years of Gunsmoke.

What could be better on a beautiful fall day?  Some of Bill's famous chili.

I think we have enough for company.

Last night the sulky races were running here at the fairgrounds.  We both would have enjoyed watching them, but it was too cold for us to sit in the grandstands.  Instead we watched what we could out our rear window.

There are only three other rigs in this section of the fairgrounds.

I love having the place almost to ourselves.

The fairgrounds have updated their WIFI and it is so much better.  It's nice to have a fairground improving instead of a lot of them that have deferred maintenance.
