My First in 2016

Quartzite, Arizona
Circling of the Wagons

I had no idea, that it's been so long since I blogged.  Where does the time go?

I remember reflecting on F-Day.  The F is for Fall off the ladder which caused a shattered heel.  I'm glad I came through that ordeal and it's been a year.

We left Sundance RV Resort this morning around 9 am with beautiful blue skies and no wind.  I ended up driving the entire way but as we got closer to Quartzite the winds kicked up a little bit.  When  I pulled into the rest area for a lunch stop there were no empty parking places so no breaks the entire way.

It was a little after noon when we arrived in Quartzite.  I must say the place looks like a ghost town.  Where are the people?  Every year it seems to get smaller and smaller but this is really small.

Sharon and Don had emailed us last night asking if we wanted to go to dinner at Silly Al's with them.  Is that a silly question?  Of course, we'd love to join them.  They called us when they were in Casa Grande and we were already in Gila Bend so we knew they were about an hour behind us.

John Kohl was the first one to come over and give us hugs.  He also helped me with put my kite together.  I was out flying my kite while Bill was getting us set up.  If you click on the photo you can see the kite in the center.  Love the blue skies and the desert.
Dennis and Linda Ward  came by a little while later.  They were wearing their matching Yuengling Beer sweatshirts.  They gave us both Yuengling chocolate bars they bought while touring the beer plant in Pennsylvania.  It definitely will be on "to see" list for this summer.  Of course, I was so excited to see them, I didn't take their picture.

I kept looking at the clock and wondering why Don and Sharon hadn't called to say they'd arrived.  They are staying in a RV park with hook ups.

Sharon called and said to meet them about 5.  How could we do that?  It's already after 6.  When I got into the truck the clock said it was after 4.  Then it hit me, my great atomic clock is still on eastern time.

Dinner was great and even though it was very noisy with lots of people Bill heard everything.  It was nice to see other Escapee member that we know walk in.

I'm amazed at what Don and Sharon have gone through since last June and how well they both look.  They are always so much fun to be around.  I love Sharon's new hairstyle too.

Tomorrow the Montana Owners Club officially gets started.

I know a lot of my girl friends love the kitchen stores, but I love places like Harbor Freight for shopping.  Look at what I bought?
It's a metal crank wheel for an air hose.  I love our Moryde electric cord crank.  Do you think this will work for our water hose?

It's going to be a couple of busy weeks.
