A Blog As Short As Our Visit

Richfield Springs, NY
KOA Cooperstown

Yesterday Bill drove from Westhampton to Richfield Springs.  I wanted no part of having to turn the rig around to go down that steep wooded way out of the park.  The weather forecast was for bad thunderstorms and heavy rain.  We had rain for less than 10 miles, so once again we were very lucky with all the bad weather around us.

There's a lot to see and do in the area but Ron Ames had told me about a place Bill might enjoy.  Here's what we found.

Well, that was a disappointment but since we were in the area we thought we'd stop at a state historic site, Herkimer Home.
But when we went to pay our fee, a tour had started a few minutes before we arrived and we'd have to wait 45 minutes for the next one.

That was our day, other than visiting with our neighbor, Mike.

Stayed tuned tomorrow.

  1. We've had days like that. Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you.

  4. Visiting a neighbor for a while is another nice way to spend some time. Almost a relaxing day.
