Love Bugs and Alligators

Crystal Lake RV Park
Mims, Florida

Bill drove from North Fort Myers to Mims today.  It was a 200 mile drive and uneventful except for all the love bugs.  They were so bad, we couldn't even get out of the truck without them getting inside when we stopped at the rest area.

Our new GPS decided to die today.  It would go blank and then start up.  We managed to keep it going for a few minutes at a time.  I finally pulled out the atlas.  I asked Bill if he was happy that he was driving and I was doing the co-piloting.  He said he was very glad to be doing the driving today.

Bill really showed a lot of finesse in hitching up before we left the park this morning.  The road was so narrow that the truck hung over the edge of it.  There was a military memorial with names on the bricks that went right to the edge of the road.

We did leave that park with a sun tan.  The last few days we went to the flea markets and visited with some of the people while we were at the pool.

John and Gerri Beckman recommended this park.  You can't beat 50 amp full hook up sites with pool and WIFI for $20 per night.  Add the fact that they are also pull thrus made this fine for us.

Can you see the lake by the back of our trip?

When I registered today, Wendy, was watching TV about someone that was missing and thought maybe an alligator attacked the person.  She said it's mating season and they are unpredictable.  I'll be checking out the area, before I walk around.

Tomorrow we are going to Kennedy Space Center.  I'm sure it will be a long day.
