Good news! The repairman came over on Saturday and repaired the refrigerator. I waited until yesterday before I opened it to make sure it was cooling. I can't believe what they charge for an RV fridge. I love the wooden door on our fridge and the thought of having a residential stainless in that spot with all the hickory cabinetry around wasn't something I wanted.
Bill saw his heart doctor today and he's good for another six months. I love those kind of reports.
We haven't done much since we returned from Amado. Bill and I both agree, the week really tired us out. Maybe it was all that good food and good company.
I was thrilled today when I found these two things in the mail. Now I can begin to research about Alaska.

ReplyDeleteOur fridge died last year, and a replacement would have been $4000. I hear what you are saying about losing the wood panels, but I decided to go with the Rez for $1300. Adapted very quickly to the look of the platinum (little darker than the stainless) finish. Best decision ever.

The other deciding factor was the insurance paid for the repairs and I really felt like next year we'd be doing more boondocking. Not my favorite thing to do but we manage in Quartzite and at the Winter Blast.
DeleteIt's time you took a little rest anyway. You've been running all over the country. Glad your refer is up and running like it should be. The charge for anything that has an "RV" in it is expensive.
