Grove, Oklahoma
Cedar Oaks RV Park
I'm sitting down to write this blog and I don't know where to begin.
Cheri Peine made a comment on yesterday's blog that they were in the same RV park and wanted to meet us. I commented back to her that we were going to visit the museum and do laundry and could meet her this afternoon.
Marilyn and L. C. really made a great suggestion to us when they suggested we visit the Har-Ber Museum. If you've been following this blog for awhile, you know we love discovering the out of the way places. In all our travels we've never had anyone suggest visiting the Har-Ber museum. We've been to Minden, Cooperstown, Meadowcroft Village, and none of those can come near to what we found today.
There is so much I can say about the Har-Ber Museum that I'm going to do another blog tomorrow and try and describe what we saw.
I'm never surprised when we stop at the Escapees Dreamcatcher park and find some friends there. However, if you look on a map and see where the tiny town of Grove, Oklahoma is located you don't expect many people travel through this area. Except for Barb and Tom Westerfield who stayed at a casino not far from here.
Cheri, who has followed my blog, came over to meet me this afternoon. She also brought Mary Van Nuys, who we met at the Montana Owners Club Fall Rally.
Cheri and Mary are here for the Ozark Chapter Rally of the Escapees. We enjoyed visiting with them so much. Cheri is thinking about going to the Escapade that will be held in Tucson.
They invited us to join the Chapter for dinner. One of the members, which I already forgot her name, prepared a lasagna dinner for everyone.
We lingered after dinner with Bill and Mary Van Nuys and Cheri and Dean Peine. We're hoping to see them again in the future.
This picture of Cheri and Dean just say's they are fun. Can't wait to meet up with them in the future.
We met Bill and Mary last month at the MOC Fall Rally. It was so good to see them again.
This chapter has a good turn out and already have another event planned.
Hopefully, we'll see them again at another Escapee event.

So many friends to meet so little time. But you're giving it the old college try. I got a Jan haircut. It's much shorter than Jims.

ReplyDeleteWe really enjoy meeting people that either follow our blog or we follow them. So nice to meet face to face. Just adds another dimension when we read their blog.
ReplyDeleteStay safe to OK. We don't like that tornado.
Jan, we had such a great time visiting with you and Bill yesterday. It was like meeting old friends. I am really pumped about the Tucson rally and hope we are able to attend. Look forward to the next time our paths cross.
