Sleeping in Nevada Tonight

Pahrump, Nevada
Escapees Pair A Dice

We were the last coach to leave the Elk's this morning.  It's nice not to be in a hurry.

Our plan was to drive to Pahrump yesterday but the repairs gave us a late start and that's why we stopped in Needles and only had a short distance to Pahrump today.

It's been a few years since we traveled up highway 95.  They have added a nice new rest area as you enter Nevada.  I was surprised that there was only rest rooms and no information center.
It had a crazy traffic pattern and I watched everyone as they entered the rest area stop and look around before proceeding.

Traffic around Las Vegas wasn't too bad other than the normal construction.
I don't know how well this photo of the snow on the mountains will show up, but trust me, it is snow.

I always like to check and see if I can find some big horn sheep as we climb up Spring Mountain.  I didn't spot any at all today.

We pulled into the Escapees Pair A Dice park in Pahrump around noon.  We have a nice pull thru 50 amp full hook up site.  Total cost for two days is $20.  I picked up a coupon at the Escapade last month for one night free with a paid night.

I think we'll do some sight seeing tomorrow.  It will be someplace I never seen before.

  5. It is fun to do different routes. We've done that one before and we've done the one we hope to do up the California coast before too. We'll see if it changes.
