Last Day of Waiting

Goshen, Indiana
Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds

I was glad that Toni and Doug Laird visited us today as we will be busy the rest of the week with the Montana Owners Club (MOC) Rally.

Toni and Doug are staying in South Bend and drove down today to visit with us and the Schoolcraft's.  It rained last night and this morning so we just drove through the fairgrounds to show it to them.

We all went to the Lux for lunch.  It was great visiting with them.  Did I mention that Doug is a famous author?  I couldn't put Doug's book down when I read it.  Bill on the other hand can pick up a book read a page, do something, come back, read a page.  When I saw him doing that with the book, I packed it away until we are back in Casa Grande.  I have a signed book and I don't want anything happening to it.

Carlena and Harry also enjoy the Lux.

When we returned to the fairgrounds, the tents were up and Rondo rounded us up to help put the tables, chairs, and supplies up.

It doesn't look like much now, but in a few hours it will look better.

Looks like next year, they may need a bigger tent.

The freezer is in, that means the ice cream social will be happening.

Rosetta and Vickie are waiting to find out what they need help with.

Rondo is always good about directing people.

I really did help, even though somehow every photo shows me just standing there with my hand on my hips.

I really don't believe all of these photos show me standing like that.

Okay, I'm not letting Bill take photos with me in them anymore.

I walked back to the coach to see the mail that John dropped off.  George stopped and wanted to know if we wanted to go to dinner with them.  I said "no thanks" because we ate a huge lunch at Lux, but normally, we would have gone and just had a piece of their pie.  I needed a shower before I could have joined anyone for dinner.

Tomorrow the rally officially kicks off.
