Quartzite Day 2--2018

Quartzite, Arizona
BLM land

Another wonderful day out in the middle of the desert without hook ups.  Our day started out with us going to the Quartzite Senior Center for a gun show.  We thought it would be interesting to see what a small town show was all about.

We stopped and registered for our two week limit on the BLM land as the office was closed when we came in yesterday.

It was so pretty outside and for my northern friends in the upper 70's, so we decided to walk around the many flea markets here.  We decided to do the one across the street from Silly Al's.  After circling the parking area twice for a parking place, we decided to go over to Tyson Wells flea market.  Bill found a parking place as someone was leaving.  I believe there are many more people and rigs than last year.  The tent doesn't open until Saturday so it looks like they will have a great turn out.

Look who we saw at the flea market.  Ed and Sandy were members of the Loosey Goosey Gang that went to Alaska last summer.  It was good seeing them.

We immediately thought of Ed Allard when we saw this gigantic chair.

George drilled a hole in the hard ground so I could put my turtle out, but for some reason it wasn't spinning well.
George to the rescue again.  He put a little silicon on it and it works great now.
Curtis and Stephanie spent some time telling us and the Morey's about visiting France.
We missed happy hour yesterday so made sure we attended today.  Even though the circling of the wagons doesn't officially start until tomorrow there was a good turn out.

Frank and Gloria spent the warm day geocaching.  Look what they found in a cache, a turtle key chain.  Thanks so much for thinking about me.

    1. We don't stay as long as you do since we don't have solar so we have to cram a lot in the short time we're here.

  5. There seem to be so many more people full timing and just RVing in general that I'm not surprised you feel there are more rigs there this year.
