Quartzite, Arizona
BLM--Plomosa Road
The weather was perfect for the drive from Casa Grande to Quartzite. We were planning to come Monday until we saw a post on the Montana Owners Club forum. Curtis and Stephanie arrived early to find the Xscapers in the former Montana Circle on the BLM land. He requested everyone to come early so he could have rigs fill in a circle near the former site.
There are about a dozen here and it doesn't start until Tuesday.
Frank and Gloria have owned a Montana since 2002 but this is the first Montana event they have attended. They came over in their travel trailer. George and Linda are parked next to us.
Unfortunately, Carolyn and Craig aren't coming. Craig was packing the trailer when he threw his back out. Harry and Carlena have ill family members. We'll miss them.
I was just making the comment that all of the Montana's were white ones. About that time, Dennis and Linda and Mary and Bill arrived with their newer Montana's that are no longer white.
We visited for awhile and then decided to go to Silly Al's for pizza. George and Linda drove and we rode with them. Frank and Gloria followed in their truck. They both had to park across the street as the lot was full. We waited about 20 minutes for a table and were glad we went early. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos. The pizza was delicious, as usual.
Yesterday we spent the day with Linda and George attending the home show in Casa Grande. We knew they also had a car show.
Bill and I both agreed there were a lot of pick up trucks in the show.
It was a perfect day and the event was well attended.
I was wishing I'd have worn shorts. We completed the day with a stop at the Hong Kong Kitchen.
Turtle Safely,
I knew Bill and Mary were headed to the Q but didn't remember it was for, or included a gathering of Montana owners. How fun for you all!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's great seeing them again.
DeleteHopefully we'll get a chance to visit before you head back.
ReplyDeleteBlogger-Fest happens on the 27th. Maybe you could attend this year.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
I'd like to attend, but it's usually too late in the month for us.
DeleteAnd the fun continues.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Quartzite its always fun, Somehow I lost the link to your blog a few months again when I had issues with the links on my sidebar I accidentally deleted, glad I found you again.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found it. Haven't blogged much when our wheels aren't turning.
DeleteEnjoy, wish we were there.
ReplyDeleteWish you were too.
DeleteWell gosh darn it Jan ... I'm going to miss you again. I'm heading to Vail for a short stay at my new place. Hoping to catch up with you sometime while I'm there!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be heading over to Winter Blast next month. You could always stop in Casa Grande sometimes.
DeleteI'd tell you to have a good time but I already know you will.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good time is about to begin!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the Xscapers. Wonder if they knew it was an area used in the past by another group. Sounds like you'll have a great time with lots of friends. Seems like many manufacturers switched from white a few years ago.
