Dream Catchers RV Park
Yes, we're still kicking! It's been a little crazy this month.
The morning we were to leave Sedalia, Missouri, we had plans to go to Columbia. I could tell Bill still wasn't back to his normal self. At that point, I said we're going back to Casa Grande. Jan and Paul came over to tell us good by and they even helped us get hitched up.
I drove a lot of miles that day and we ended staying at a KOA. Of course, the first site had bad electric. The circuit breaker was falling out of the box. We ended up moving to another site. Way over priced and the sites were so narrow that the picnic table had to be turned sideways and went under the slides.
As we were driving through New Mexico we turned over 200,000 miles on the truck.
I had called ahead and had an appointment for Bill's cardiologist which didn't leave anytime for stopping in Benson to see the Del Rosario's.
Bill's doctor wasn't concerned and gave him three choices. One of which was to do nothing at this time. I guess anyone that knows Bill, knows what choice he picked. It's hard enough to get him to take any medication unless it's absolutely necessary.
When we left in March, the dermatologist had taken a biopsy. Naturally, when it came back as cancerous, we were in Louisiana. The doctor said we could wait until October, but since we were back in the area I set up an appointment to have it removed while we were in town.
We also had the AC go out in the truck again. That makes 7 times. Let's hope this time will be the last.
Harry and Carlena came down for a visit and naturally, they wanted to eat at the Hong Kong Kitchen. Bo was so happy to see us. She really has a personality like a human. I was so excited to see them, I didn't even think to take a photo.
Our original plan when we left Casa Grande was to head up into the mountains of Arizona but the morning we were leaving we decided to go to Deming instead due to fires up north.
The weather was great when we left Casa Grande. You never know what you are going to see on the highway. Do you think they could have piled any more stuff on this pick up?
When we pulled into the park, we were invited to a barbecue for Father's Day. Bill ended up talking on the phone so much, we forgot about going over to the barbecue and of course, I also forgot about the one hour time change.
Today we went on an adventure that George and Harry would have loved. All the times we've stayed in Deming, we've never been to the Cabinetlandia. I did see the recommendation that you have an all wheel drive vehicle. Bill did have a clean truck until we went out those dirt roads. We saw a lot of "No Trespassing" signs but we never did find the site. Oh well, we'll try again when the Morey's and Schoolcraft's are with us.
The park is almost empty. I think there were four rigs that weren't seasonals. I saw a travel trailer leaving with it's antenna up. I started hollering and waving my hands and chasing him. I ran all the way over to the clubhouse. The guy never checked his mirrors. Someone else saw me running and kept blowing his horn. Oh well, at least I tried to tell him he left it up.
That's what we've been doing the last two weeks.
Turtle Safely.........
Nice to hear from you again and that things are coming together.
